After ten years of coalition building, advocacy, research, and learning together, The Root Cause Coalition (TRCC) will be closing this chapter of its work.

TRCC was formed at a moment when it was clear that no single sector could advance health equity alone. Health systems, hospitals, insurers, academic institutions, businesses, and community-based organizations needed space and encouragement to work together more intentionally to address the root causes of inequity. TRCC helped create that space.

Over the past decade, more than 90 organizations came together through TRCC to share ideas, challenge one another, and move the field forward. Through convenings, summits, research, and advocacy, the coalition helped elevate the role of social and structural drivers of health in national conversations and supported members as they worked to translate commitment into action.

We are deeply proud of what was built together: the relationships that formed across sectors, the learning that emerged from honest dialogue, and the collective voice that helped push health equity from the margins toward the center of health and health care discussions.

While we are sad to see this chapter come to an end, we believe the work of TRCC does not end here. The ideas, partnerships, and leadership nurtured through this coalition continue in the organizations and communities that carry this work forward every day. The progress made over the last ten years provides a strong foundation for what comes next.
